The IU School of Medicine website is comprised of the main site as well as 80+ subsites. The flexible architecture of Concrete5 allows us to run all sites from a shared core, but still allowing each unit to manage their own set of files and pages. With 6000+ pages and 10,000+ files, it was important to keep units segregated.
The experience from our users has been very positive and they have a new sense of empowerment in regards to managing their websites.
The next phase of our migration will include a template redesign. It was important to move content into our existing template first, then utilize Concrete5's robust theming system to push new options out to all of our websites at once.
