The Mississippi College website exists as a resource that is used to represent Mississippi College to a wide range of audiences. For many, it provides a first impression of what MC is all about; for others is it a tool to help to them to succeed during their college career. For this reason, the Web site must clearly and accurately reflect the goals of the institution.
Mississippi College has a rather unique Concrete5 setup. The site actually runs multiple instances of Concrete5 in order to keep departments fully separate with regard to files, pages, and users. Yet, these instances all run on the same core set of Concrete5 application files, making upgrades and maintenance very easy. The only parts of the sites that are not shared as the database, the files (in the file manager), and the configuration files.
