Bug resolved

If a bug was reported, and the marked as resolved, it meas that the issue won't be present in the next release?
How can I apply the fix now and don't wait the next release.
The bug was this one:

If you see a closed issue that corresponds with your problem, you check check the code changes.

You can also download the latest code base from Github and use that as your concrete core.
