Unable to delete a global area that cannot be found

Hi, I am Currently Running 5.7.5.9.

I was working on our homepage yesterday and somehow... someway... what seems to be a global area now has a video (product screencast) in it on the bottom of our page just before the footer. This video is ours and was used in another part of the homepage (I've now deleted that block).

I am not able to delete this global area/block with this video and black background. I see it live in production and when I go to edit that page or any page (since it's global), it's like it doesn't exist so there is no way that I have been able to delete that. Since it's global, it's showing on the bottom of every single page on our Corporate Company Website.

I've gone into View Global Areas under Stacks and it's no where to be found.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Have you checked to make sure that the global area where this shows up on the front end is Approved in the Dashboard -> Stacks & Blocks? I have run into this where the Global Area shows one thing to the admin and something else to the Guest when the Global Area isn't approved in the dashboard.

Hi!

Thank you.

It does not show up under the global areas at all. It's in the pre footer but you cannot see it there. Yesterday, we put a temp fix in place by hiding it using an HTML block.

Starting to think it's a bug...

I am having the same issue with an image and text in the pre-footer of a site. See attached that while in the editor, there is nothing seen there. But when logged out and viewing as a guest, there is the Amherst Soccer logo and sponsor text. :>?

I fixed it. Thanks Hutman. It was a variation within Stacks and Blocks. I saw nothing in Stacks and Blocks within several footer areas so I pressed "clear" for each and then republished those global footer areas. It took care of it.
