Where are those bulk import addons?

Ok a little rant here. I have been using C5 in one version or another for close to 5 years now, I think. I love it. I use it for every website project where my client doesn't request a specific app. Just beginning to use version 8 and coming to like it too. But tell me, what tool out there doesn't support bulk imports of things like members/users or products or images? Version 5.6 had some very handy addons provided by third parties that did that, but really shouldn't those features be a part of any core software or at least part of anyone's addon that provides functions for these features? I feel like I have one hand tied behind my back using version 8, and have had to rethink the cost of moving clients up from 5.6 because of the time it would take to import hundreds of user accounts or products. Anyone else feel this way? Who is willing to pay for these features? I know I am. I was. I paid for them several times in version 5.6. I'd be willing to pay for them in version 8.

What features are you looking for with a user importer? Just basic username, email, and password? Or other attributes too (I might be able to build you something quick to use)?

For the Images, there is a bulk uploader in the File Manager, so this is in 5.8 already.

As for products, I don't know that there is a really good eCommerce solution for 5.7/5.8 yet so add-ons wouldn't be being developed yet either.

Thanks for your kind reply. We are looking for a CSV import for both the basic info and for a not yet finalized list of attributes. It would be nice to have the ability to replace the entire membership, or update existing users and add new users, or delete the specified users. An export function would be key as well as the ability to use CRON to run it.

As for the ecommerce addon, are you aware of Community Store? It's being developed outside the normal channels and can be found here:

If you want me to create something for you to run PM me and we can talk about your exact needs for the user import, the export already exists I believe.

As for the Community Store, I've heard good and bad things about it. I have a hard time understanding why the core team wouldn't put it through the PRB and sell it in their own Marketplace if it's ready for production.
