Is anyone working on a Store/Dealer locator block… It would be a really cool thing have to add to sites. For a visitor to be able to search for the nearest dealer via postcode , town etc with in a certain distance. Also to grade the dealers so they take priority over lesser dealer

Google can do this but you still need to have an admin section to add/edit your stores.

The dealer locator system I need would need this requirement …
This locator operates on two separate data bases.
1. Product ONE
When a post code is entered the software simply searches for the nearest Product A suppliers, up to a maximum of 10 returns, within a radius of 25 miles. These are then listed in order of distance from the given postcode.
2. Product TWO Approved Installers (Roofline & Cladding products)
a. For commercial reasons we only ask for 3 returns for each enquiry
b. Our installers are graded A and B
c. Of the three returns the first 2 places are reserved for the nearest A installers, ranked by distance, within a 25 mile radius.
d. The third place is reserved for the nearest B installer.
e. If there are no A’s then the 3 places are filled by the nearest 3 B’s ranked strictly in distance from the input post code.
If there is only 1 A Installer then places 2 and 3 are filled by the nearest 2 B’s ranked strictly in distance from the input post code.
I can supply a sample csv if this will be useful.
As you can see it is not as straight forward as a normal dealer locator and because of the ranking system I wouldn't want to show locations on google maps or at least have the ability to switch this feature on and off. I an will to pay for this to be developed.
