Moving multiple blocks

I have a layout with many columns and rows.
In each cell I have two blocks, one for an image and another one for content. I have the same in many pages. But now I need to reorder the blocks. Just moving in a different place. Is there a way to move (re-arrange) all the blocks and after apply. Or to extend the time before "stick" and save position ? It's really time consuming do it one block by one !

thank you so much !

I've often thought it would be nice to have a feature like this, that would allow you to move as many blocks on a page as you want and then click save to save all the positions. Unfortunately, moving them one by one is the option at the moment...

A solution was posted on Github a while back, perhaps by @mlocati. It was turned down because 5.7 will be providing capabilities like that and in the mean time the block popup menu is becoming too long.

John, we are using 5.7 and have a need for this [moving multiple blocks at the same time]. Did you ever hear any more about this feature — or can you suggest where to search for info on it?

Thanks,
Charlie
