Plans for File List Pro Addon - Feedback Wanted

Permalink 1 user found helpful
I am making plans for one of my addons, and am hoping for some feedback.

My "File List Pro" addon currently only displays a list of files from a file set, in a nice ajaxed interface. See the addon here:

However, I plan on adding a valuable new feature to it in the near future: a download cart function! In other words, I plan to integrate a way for site visitors to add each file item to a "cart". When the user has added the items they want to download into the cart, they can then download everything at once in a ZIP file.

In short, version 2 will add a "zip file download cart" feature. This will NOT be an alternative to any ecommerce solution! You may have seen this feature on file sharing websites where you can add many files to a cart and then download everything in a compressed ZIP folder. Of course, this option will be exactly that - an option that can be enabled when adding the block to a page.

I had originally planned on making this an addon by itself, but it seems easier to to just make it available as a "bonus" feature for this addon.

What do you think?

Have you made any progress on this? This is exactly what I am looking for right now. I need a file sharing interface to deliver image files to my real estate agent clients. I am also looking for the following:
-large thumbnail (grid) listing format, since I deal with image files primarily.
-file info and a select box under the thumbnails.
-clicking a thumbnail opens the image into a lightbox (w/full screen option), also with file info and select box.
-custom options for sort or filter (I deliver images in three file variations: full res, lo res, and a special cropped version to fit specific MLS sites) to show only one variation at a time
-a select/deselect all option

*one problem I've run into with my wife's biz site (she uses a photography shopping cart system) is that the full res files are too large/too many for the server to make the zip file. I know dropbox and others can handle this so I'm assuming yours will be able to also?

**I am very interested and am willing to purchase this add-on or a separate add-on or however you deem fit,
