Adding text to entire width of page`remove columns-edit block

Hi all,

I have a template I purchased and on my home page I have 4 colums [ see attached video ] .
On the far left I have added a text column. However Id like to extend this column across entire width of page and delete the 3 colums to the righ of it. Please see attched video will show and make more sense. Any help to this would be great !!!!

Looks like you have a layout inside a layout (four columns inside the main content area). Try to click on the label for the Main area and then either select 'Add Block' to add a block directly inside it or click 'Add Layout' to create a one column layout inside the Main area and add the block to it.

If that doesn't work click on one of the labels for the columns you have and then select 'Edit Container Layout' and click on the trash can in the subsequent menu to delete the four columns.
