Admin user account can't upload to file manager

Hi Folks,

I hope someone can help out here....

I have been upgrading a website, essentially a rebuild from 5.6 to 5.8 (see my previous post re users:https://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/chat/importing-users-from...

I have just about finished and at the testing stage.

Having brought in all of the users from the old site, I now have one problem. There are two administrator accounts, mine (as superuser) and a second for the webmaster. The webmaster account cannot upload files through the File Manager, however mine can. I can't see any differences in the database records for the two users.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Cheers,

Duncan

Try adding the group webmaster to Dashboard>system>files>permissions
Or yourwebsite.com/index.php/dashboard/system/files/permissions

Hi Jessica,

Thanks for the reply.

That was the first thing that I tried but it didn't make a difference. I got it sorted in the end but it was a bit of a struggle. I had to copy the user account from the original Users table in the db into the imported table and then track down all the subsequent errors that were popping up whilst trying to log in with that user account. It was tedious but less so than having to recreate 500 member accounts in the new table :)

Anyway, it got fixed and was a bit of a learning curve. Got about 100 c5 sites that are going to need upgrading sooner or later so all good practise :)

Cheers,

Duncan
