Another client lost because of SLOW Congrete5

I was just about to show a homepage that i made in Congrete5, for a client, and then i could not get in on the page. It just keep on loading and loading and loading and loading and loading, but nothing happens.

It makes me very upset, as no one within Congrete5 likes to look into the problem. I have tried everything it says on the forum, but nothing seems to change. One day the page is OK, the next day it takes hours to load it.

The page is betavestermarkskirken.dk

I set my browser trying to load that a few minutes ago and after 3.5 minutes of a blank white page loading I am getting a 503 error (service unavailable).

I then tried to pinghttp://betavestermarkskirken.dk/... and got a response that the ping request 'could not find the server'.

It may be a faulty domain name or DNS server entry, nothing to do with the actual c5 site - it doesn't get that far.

Well it just loaded for me in 18.5 seconds with a 404 error on
packages/radius/themes/radius/images/grain-bg-2.png

Both Yslow and Webpagetest are complaining about http requests, Expires headers, No gzip applied etc.
So you need to clear up these items before looking at your concrete install..

Thanks alot for all the answers. I have spoken with the client again, and he like to continue, but the speed was an issue i have to look into.
The fun part is that it has not been a problem for some time.
The theme i am using is a Congret5 made them, so i thought that the things was ok.
By the way were will i be able to get so i can gzip the stuff. Help is needed in that area

I'm confused by this suggestion - wouldn't this create an invalid document?

Yes it would, it's just a modified HTML declaration, so needs to go at the very top of the page, before the opening head tag.

Hi schmidtCreation

I've also had a problem like u, im from denmark and can see u also are using af danish domain (.dk) så HEJ;) im using a danish host called gigahost.dk and bye doing that my site are running quick now. you can activate something called vanishmode on gigahost and disable savemode on the server:)

If u like i can send u some links to site made in Concrete5 and that are using gigahost as host.
