Being found by search engines

How does one go about being found by search engines such as Google? People are able to connect to the site by using the URL, but if they don't remember the URL, they just type into Google which doesn't seem to find it.

Or could it be buried down on page 387 or something of the search results?

I added the meta keywords back into the SEO section, and tossed some words in, but maybe they need a special delimiter? I just used a space between them.

Thanks, everyone.

Did you add the Google Analytics tag, submit the sitemap.xml, and submit the site through Google Search Console?

Well, no. Would instructions for doing so be somewhere in the documentation?

They're not really related to Concrete5, so I don't believe they are. If you do a quick Google search you should be able to find information though.

These days, keywords no longer have much of an impact on search rankings. In fact, many sites are now removing them, because your competitors can see them and know what key phrases you're targeting.

Meta page titles and descriptions are important, so make sure your pages have them. You can easily edit these via the page attributes.

Meta pagetitles have first priority, then the Meta description, - forget about keywords.
The description should contain at least one word used in the page title.
Use minimal 65-75 and max. 200 characters. Search results show about 150 characters.
Images, pdf's, videos can also have titles and descriptions.
Backlinks (links pointing to your page) are also helping search engines to find your page.
