Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class SimpleLogoBlockController in /hermes/bosweb/web062/b628/ipg.poshpigletdesignscom/packages/rigidlight/blocks/simple_logo/controller.php on line 13

says i have already installed the theme , it stores in the pakages section but not the themes and pages section. so i cant activate this theme.

Have you opened a ticket with the theme's developer?

Sometimes if you have a similar theme installed or a light version of it, they can conflict.
For example, I installed Rigid Light and activated it. I later bought and installed Rigid Bold.
Bold would not install until I removed Light.

There was probably another more complicated fix that would allow me to have both, but if I were you I would remove any unwanted theme installs as they are likely creating the problem.

Apparently this has to do with a "class" issue in the code of one of the theme files.

Hi,

I'm having a related issue. I was using 5.4.2.2 when this happened: I'd already purchased a theme I really liked. At one point I was in my Dashboard, and saw in the news feed that there was an update for it.

I clicked to download & install the update, and once I did so, the theme no longer works on my site. At all. When I'm looking at the list of themes I've installed and such, the picture of it doesn't even show up. I inspect it, and there's no templates or anything in the list - it just says there are no templates for this theme.

I've tried uninstalling it, but I can't do that either, it won't let me as it seems this theme is somewhere in C5 limbo.

Any suggestions are SO welcome! Thanks!

You can't uninstall a theme that C5 thinks is active.

First, take a backup.

Then you need to switch your site to another theme, eg (default) plain or Greek yogurt, then completely uninstall the theme giving problems, then install again, then switch the site back to it.

You shouldn't loose any theme specific areas, pages or blocks through this process, they simply disappear and then reappear again when the re-installed theme is activated.

If it goes wrong, then revert to the backup and you are back where you started.
