Can I use my own domain name but host with concrete 5?

I've got an existing website with a domain name, but came across concrete 5, created a site (on concrete5 server) and now I want to use my domain name for this site (cause it's better). Note: I have not downloaded my own copy of concrete 5 to host on my own server. I am simply using the concrete 5 server.

So it it possible to use a domain name here or do I need to find a different host? If it's possible, how do I do it?

I've searched the forums and people talk about a tab called "Server Support" in the Dashboard, but I'm guessing that's referring to an older version because there is no such tab. Please help. Thank you in advance.

Yes you can. If you sign up and pay for Concrete5 Hosting you'll be able to user your own domain by pointing some DNS records, which I'm sure they will provide for you.

You cannot however use the "demo" or trial account to host. You will need to purchase hosting from the following link:

Aha! That makes sense. Thank you so much for the quick response.

So, I'm guessing that if I purchase a hosting package that mysterious "Server Support" tab will show up too, right?

That is what I assume. Most likely, it will.

If you get a chance, please mark my post above as the best answer. It'll help those with the same question in the future. Thanks!

these days we actually use cPanel for this type of stuff.. only legacy accounts have the server support tab.
