Can't connect to Community and Marketplace

Permalink 2 users found helpful
Hello, when i try to connect to the communtity i get an error message telling me that curl is not installed or my provider is blacklistet.
I contacted my provider and he told me that curl is installed, but his firewall is blocking it from making connections. He needs to know where it want's to connect, to allow the connections in the firewall.
Does someone know the answer?

Thanks in advance

Stefan

The default port curl uses is port 80. Ask your provider if outbound tcp traffic on port 80 is blocked.

Curl is trying to accesshttp://Concrete5.org

Hi,
I am using Concrete5 first time.
I installed remote host..My site name is etikder.org
My site is online now but I didn't connect Community. So I didnt have add-ons (theme etc.)
In Dashbord, Click Add Functionality then click connect to community button
I have a message below;

Connect to the Community Button was working
Connect to the Community
Unable to generate a marketplace token. Please ensure that allow_url_fopen is turned on, or that cURL is enabled on your server. If these are both true, It's possible your site's IP address may be blacklisted for some reason on our server. Please ask your webhost what your site's outgoing cURL request IP address is, and email it to us at help@concrete5.org.

NOTE: My first installation httpdocs/c5 , Connect to Community Button was working.
after for same project second installation httpdocs/ ,connect to community is not working
now third installation connect to community is not working

My hosting settings are all true.

Please help me..

Hi ckaraca,

Have you asked your hosting company for its outgoing CURL request IP address? If you can send that to us, we can check to see if it's been blocked by our host.

EDIT:
for anyone visiting this thread later, here's a link to a new how-to article that explains how to check to see if your server has cURL and allow_url_fopen installed and enabled:
