Hi
I understand how to tick the box for enable pretty URL'S but I am wondering if there is a way to change the pretty URL's the way you want them to be. I like to have e.g. the following url:http://www.mainsite.com/sample.html... orhttp://www.mainsite.com/sample.php... but instead I gethttp://www.mainsite.com/sample/...
which I find rather strange. How can I change this please?

I do not care about the www but about the ending of the URL. Does anybody know how to change the ending of the URL please?
I've been doing some work on customising the pretty URLs functionality recently... But until that's done there isn't an easy way to achieve what you're asking. You can add rules to .htaccess to handle .html on the end of your page paths but that won't generate links in your nav and content that include it.
