Composer on 5.6.1.2 not working

Permalink 1 user found helpful
I am running version 5.6.1.2 of C5. The Composer for blog posts has stopped working since the upgrade.

When I go to compose a new blog post, the url goes to the correct newly created page, but the page remains blank. Absolutely nothing populates.

When I check the newly formed page on the sitemap, it does show the page, but when I go to view that page, I get the same blank page... nothing populates.

Suggestions?

A little help? I've already associated the page type in composer, but I still get a blank white page when I try and add a new blog post.

Same story here. My version is 5.6.2.1.

I did everything "by the book". I edited Page Default of my blog entry in Page Types, and connected certain blocks to the Composer.

After post routine, new page appeared in the site map, but it remains blank ._. White screen all over, literally nothing - but it DOES load. Only when I entered into the source code, I could notice the error there:

<!-- Site Header Content //-->
<link rel="stylesheet" media="screen" type="text/css" href="<br />
<b>Fatal error</b>:  Call to a member function getPackageHandle() on a non-object in <b>address/site/my/obviosuly/view.php</b> on line <b>124</b><br />

This is the end of the whole source code - no closing html tags-obviously not my fault. ;) And obviously it is NOT my header file - I've just double checked that.

Hope you guys will manage to fix it! Keep up the good work!!

Kind regards - Andrew.

I made a clean install WITH sample content, then edited the blog page type - it worked, and additional ones that I added works as well. It had to be some kind of necesserity that isn't available in the clean install, I guess.

My solution: make installation with sample content.

Greetings.

I have the same issue, not feeling like a reinstall though… Anyone have any ideas?

I tried cleaning the cache and rebuilding the database from XML.

I think I found the issue. The problem was that pages added through the composer didn't have a theme assigned to them. I solved this by deactivating and reactivating the theme.

Hope that helps people! :D

I'm facing the same problem. I setup the composer according to the composer tutorial from concrete5.org but I get a completely blank page (not even source code!) whenever I try to post a new blog entry with the composer.

Is there any workaround maybe?
