Core Plugins Forum?

Just a thought - I see a lot of help request posts on the ecommerce add-on and some other core developed add-ons like Calendar.

Might it be a good idea to provide a separate sub-forum/section in the forums for core developed add-ons?

The add-on posts seem to be looking for a home since they are in many of the current sub-forums/sections.

Each add-on (including the core add-ons) has it's own Questions and Support forums. Are you suggesting they create another area to monitor for each of those? I understand where you're coming from, but might it be better to direct those posts to the proper add-on forum?

I agree; to the proper add-on forum would be best.

But there's a lot of add-on posts that aren't finding their way to those, particularly in respect of the core add-ons like those I mentioned.

Struck me that a headline "Add-ons" forum would be useful in keeping the forum content here focused.

i think that'd get pretty confusing with all the 3rd party add-ons as well.. perhaps we should just update the content that bugs you before you post.

"perhaps we should just update the content that bugs you before you post"

Hmm?? Suggestions are exactly that, you fellas are free to ignore them. The sarcasm was also optional.

Huh?

I meant the content which bugs you before you post. There's a little overlay window... Used to just mention the helpful thing but now directs to proper support posting too.. No sarcasm intended

Franz I understand what you meant now :-)

Updating that dialog box might steer people in the right direction. It was quite a while before I realised each addon had it's own forum. No doubt this applies to others.

I always get confused on if I should post my questions under "Questions and Discussion" or "Support" . BUT I could be the only one.

Support if you've bought the add-on and something doesn't work.

Questions if you haven't bought it (pre-purchase) or have questions about modding, integration or something slightly related.

Ahhh Thanks for the clarification. Makes so much more sense.
