Dont link in Navigation attribute not working

Permalink 1 user found helpful
Guys,
I have seen a new (?) attribute on Page properties which I'd like to use called Don't link in Navigation. I assume this means show the link but don't link it to a page.

I have a top level page with a sub page but I want visitors to click on the sub page link in the nav, not the parent page.

Having clicked the attribute for the top level page it still shows in the nav and still clicks through as normal.

Anyone seen this or am I doing something wrong?

Ian

Not sure which attribute you're referring to, but the standard autoanv templates include support for the attribute handle 'replace_link_with_first_in_nav'

You'll probably need to add the attribute, but when you do that and set it for a parent page, you'll find that the parent's link becomes identical to that of the first child.

The effect is that the user will click on either the parent or the first child, and end up on the first child in both cases, which appears to be the effect you want to achieve.

Thanks Jero but I found a Page Redirect addon which did the job!
