Drop Down Menus

Permalink 1 user found helpful
Hi all,

I am in the process of building my website. I have a question about drop down menus. I have attached an image which better shows what I hope to get done. Any feedback or help would be most appreciated.

Thanks
Darren

You need to change the hierarchy of your sitemap, so that the child pages appear on the drop-down. In other words, you simply need to re-arrange your sitemap.

To do this, go to the dashboard, and select Sitemap. You should see a list of all your site pages.

Simply drag 'n drop the pages as necessary. To move a sub-page under a top-level one, simply drag the page onto the page you wish to put it under, then a dialog box opens asking what you want to do.

When adding a new page, the best way I prefer to do this is simply to go to the sitemap, select the page I wish to add a sub-page to, and select "Add Page" from the menu.

Also, I see you're using Stucco theme, but have the menu at the very top. In some cases, some theme menus only work within specific areas, so you may want to try moving the menu to the menu area of the page.

I'm trying to create a workout builder for myself, and writing workouts for my personal training clients.

I want a drop down list of exercises, and whatever exercise is selected, an image would appear in an adjacent cell of that exercise.

Basically, this is what I want, but it's on Excel.

Hi melange,

Here are the steps to do what you have described.

Create (or move) your pages in the equivalent structure as your desired menu (see Sitemap.jpg attached)

Use AutoNav to produce a <UL><LI><A> for the pages you want in the menu.

Get a "pure css" menu definition from the web. there are LOTS of sites to download or even create a custom theme.

The result is a menu like attached (menu.jpg)

Private Message me if you need more, but I leave for vacation on the 24th!
