Editor Controls - The Trouble with "Customize Toolbar"

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to give some input on the "Customize Toolbar" link on the editor controls. We have found that this link is confusing to our clients. It takes them out of their editing experience, where they might lose some signifant changes they were making in a rich text editor, and it takes them to a page where it's not completely clear what they are supposed to do. It's one of those things where no one will likely click that button more than once (school of hard knocks), but it seems like it would make more sense to just remove it. There are lots of things in C5 that, if one needs to customize it, there is no direct link; you simply seek out the setting in the dashboard independently. I don't think this direct link adds enough benefit or ease to justify the frustration it can otherwise cause.

We haven't seen any place where it's possible to remove this link without modifying core code, so we thought it best to submit a suggestion.

We're really, really loving C5. What an amazing system! Thanks for all the hard work.

Best,

Joey

we actually added that because of folks having no idea that they could even do it. I agree though a little are you sure message wouldn't hurt.

Thanks frz. Also, if you could actually customize the C5 toolbar, and not just the tinyMCE toolbar, it would make sense. That way you could even remove that link.
