How to add background image to a content block?

I want a full page width image with a few lines of text text centered over the image. I don't see how to do this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
There's a cool addon by MrKDilkington on the marketplace called "Full Screen Background and overlay" that I have used before. Works like a charme!

I have tried the block you suggest. I was only able to get it to display a background image for the entire page. I wasn't able to get it to work with a content block. Have I missed something or is this the extent of it's functionality.

Hi,

have you tried clicking on the Content block, choosing "Design & Custom Template", next clicking on the Image icon and choosing a background image?

I'm working on a package that does this behind the <header> areas only, which is suitable for banner-style sites. It works best with a theme template that allows a central block in a header area. If interested, I could attach it.
