HTML Block Overwrote Adjacent Content Block

Hello everyone,
Strange glitch today editing one of my sites. Adding an HTML block for an advertising banner in the left sidebar apparently has covered the existing content block. Both show up on the page but I have lost the ability to edit the content block. Very Strange! See the screen shot attached showing edit mode of the page in question and you'll find the advertising block border surrounds the content block.

Anyone else have this issue? Not a major problem at this time but I'll need to delete it all and start from scratch if I want to edit this content block.

Thanks.

Might this be an issue with the theme - the html or CSS? That's what I'd look at first.

Site has previously been stable (for several months)and we use this theme on a few other sites with no problems. Just noticed most editing quirks seem to be with Google Chrome, I was able to separate the blocks editing with Safari, however it changes the layout of the blocks when viewing on other browsers. We will continue to research this problem.

Maybe it's that something (div, paragraph, link, whatever) is not closed inside of your html block, so it doesn't have an 'end' for the JavaScript that adds the clickable boxes? I'd try it with different HTML, and check the HTML very closely. If it's just copy / paste off another website, that's probably it. I've seen this kind of thing actually completely kill a page so you couldn't even edit anything, and had to go to the database to clear out the content of that HTML block...

Problem Solved. Thanks for the input! I was too quick to look for a problem w C5 and overlooked the obvious reason. The HTML written for a affiliate program banner was not complete.
I'll be sure to preview the code before copy/pasting next time :)
