I would like code snippets section at concrete5 site

I quite often find new ways of doing things in C5 or solve some code issues, or someone makes a great suggestion, or the PRB recommends how to do something better. I wouldn't mind sharing some code snippets with everyone and would certainly appreciated if anyone else shared theirs.

The Forum is not a good place to do that the way it is right now. The tutorials are too large for this too. All a snippet needs is just a title to say what it does and

. That shouldn't be a place to ask questions. Only to post working code examples. I think it's a great idea to help others to avoid stepping on the same rakes.

C5 admins, what about making another page for the code snippets?

What do others think about this idea?

No, it doesn't load and doesn't load for months or a year if not longer... unless the site is blocked in Russia, although why would they?

Well, let's put it like this. Why would I come here and let you know it works without at the very least checking first?

I visited the site and then answered you. And just for kicks I just did again and I'm answering you again: it works and loads pretty fast actually.

Other than that I do not know why it doesn't load for you.

Well, looks like it's blocked in Russia. I tried on home PC, on a mobile phone, and at work - it times out.

Thank you for sharing that.

However, my point was to have and share the snippets here so that everyone could contribute.

If you have a useful snippet and want to contribute, you can start a forum thread with it or write a howto in the documentation site.

IIRC, the suggestion of code snippets was included in the documentation project that MrKDilkington and I put together (seehttps://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/customizing_c5/support-or...

Unfortunately, initiatives like this need to be led by Portland Labs to get any traction.

Yeah, this has been tried externally before:

Without at least a link in the top-level menu = doomed to obscurity...

I've contacted PortlandLabs with my suggestion. They said they're migrating their infrastructure and will look into such improvement...

I guess the more people ask for it the better the chances
