IE 6

I looked at my site on a very old PC yesterday in IE 6
The site is displayed completely haywired
Backstrech block for some reason produces two background images, so when I open the site I see just the first background image alone and then I have to scroll down to the second one where the content is located.
The background image for the container is missing on home, but not on subpages.
Superfish drops down on home but not on sub pages
The header image is displaced
The embedded youtube videos don´t show up, only a message to download flash plug in
Generally I noticed that IE 6 cannot handle transparent pngs and displays white background on all pages, not only mine.
I was wondering if there is something I could do about this or even if it is worth worrying about, becuase IE6 on opening firmly reminded me it was time to upgrade to IE 8. Do you think IE 6 is still used?
What worried me a bit was that I found no other site that was displayed so silly.
Would appreciate your feddback very much!

IE6 is still used sadly. There a tricks to fix PNG such as the HTC fix. Have you got a link to the site in question so I can point you in the direction of other potential fixes?

Definately a few bug there. Most of them are float issues.

If you type common IE6 bugs into Google you'll find alot of cheat sheets that will help with your site.

Thanks, I´ll try this, but as far as I can see, most of it is pretty unintellegible to me.... just a noob

"EDUCATE OTHERS
Friends don’t let friends use Internet Explorer 6. And neither should acquaintances. Educate others about moving off of Internet Explorer 6."

lol This is a quote off a Microsoft site http://ie6countdown.com/ that is advocating the demise of IE6. They offer a banner that appears only to IE6 users that asks them to upgrade their browser

Adreco: very true. I add to that: get a modern browser so that designers work gets appreciated more with full support for CSS 2.1 and higher. Dont get any version of IE. They all stink.
