Image Block that Displays Multiple Views of Same Item

I'm building a site for a consignment store and need an image block that accommodates multiple views of the same item. For example, they might have 5 sofas with 10 photos of each sofa. The user might select sofa #1 and scroll through the 10 photos before going to sofa #2. The high level view would show the user 5 sofas with the detail views only visible once a sofa is selected.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Iain

Hi,

You can create a sub page for each sofa's and add all the photos and details of respective photo in that sub page. Then add a image block in the main page with main images with link to the sub pages. So when a user clicks on the particular photo it will take you to the sub page of that particular photo.

For instance, you are adding Photos A, B, and C. So first create a page for A, B, and C and then add the respective photos on corresponding pages. And add the photos A, B and C in the image block and give the corresponding link (i.e) for A give A page's link, for B give B page's link, etc

Hope you understand.

I presume, that you wish to have a Parent page, under which you could create 5 different pages for the 5 sofas, add the thumbnail attribute to these five pages , through the Page properties option, add the appropriate thumbnail images to these five pages, within each page you could add a Gallery block or simply place these (10) images using content block or image block, or however you wish to have it presentable.

Now on the parent page, you could use the "Page Block" made by "Matogertel", wherein you could display the thumbnail image set on the children pages (5 sofa pages), You could download the block and go through the discussion post herehttp://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/block_requests/updated_pa...

Hope this helps, to see what I tried to explain to you, check this section of my client's websitehttp://www.creamcentre.com/2level/locations/mumbai/...

Hope this helps !!

Thank you for this. I tried the Matogertal block and found it to be a bit beyond my ability.

Thanks
