Inability to see discussion/forum information

I've noticed something really frustrating in trying to troubleshoot an issue with a plug in - a number of the support requests come up with a really unhelpful message:

Ticket Content Restricted
This is an older legacy support ticket and is only available to the add-on developer and the ticket owner.

This is a message to the core team really - C5 has always had a policy of openess and transparency that I have enjoyed over the years and has helped me develop using your open source (notice the word open) platform. How is this non showing of the legacy information helpful for any of us? Often this information is useful in troubleshooting problems even though it is previous version of C5. Not sure what the rationale is here - has anyone managed to see posts that come up with this message. Sorry if this is a rant but it appears that there is a whole pile of useful information no longer open to me and can't see how this is an improvement...
