Invoices for marketplace purchases

Permalink 1 user found helpful
Hi,

I recently purchased the eCommerce block. I did get a receipt. However, my accountant won't be able to use it for my bookkeeping if it doesn't have:

- My company's name and address.
- If possible the VAT number.

If it's impossible to get those, I'm afraid I won't be able to buy from the marketplace.

you can't use a receipt as a tax deduction unless your company's name is on it? That sounds odd... guess belgium must have some pretty different tax laws than the U.S. What happens when you pay cash for something like office supplies? Do they still need to add your company to the receipt?

we are adding a feature to concrete5.org with the next push (next week) that will let you print invoices for any past orders.
There will be a field in this process where you can put your custom bill to info, vat number, or whatever else you need for local laws.

Our full address, Federal tax ID, and total with dollars is already on them today, so this should solve the problem.

That's great news.

In Belgium, we need full invoices for nearly everything.

For small purchases, a normal receipt should do. But even then, it is often difficult to get those accepted by the tax department.

Hi Franz

Really looking forward to this feature, I know you said next week but is this one still on?

dendeffe sorry I think I put this in the wrong place, it was meant for Franz.

it'll be in the next push we do to concrete5.org.

we're just changing around the way the forums landing page works now and we'll push.. should be this week barring unexpected excitement from other challenges.
