mega menus - anyone want to attempt?

Hey all, I was just thinking it would be nice if one of the awesome developers took a stab at creating a mega menu type add-on. Here is a few examples:

I Agree. We def need a mega menu module as this type of menu makes sites look amazingly good.

I run a web design company (www.vision2life.com) and have used another cms called dotnetnuke which does have a module like this and is amazingly good:http://www.dnn360.net/Default.aspx?alias=www.dnn360.net/navsuite... (second menu from the top)

we just built something for a client that uses the scrapbook for each menu... not sure howto really productize it so anyone can configure it flexibly, but we're tossing some ideas around.
