New Page Attribute - Checkbox not available

I want to add a Page Attribute that is a Checkbox in a clean install of 5.5.1, but there is no "Checkbox" option in the "Add Attribute" dropdown menu. What's weird is that in a version upgraded from 5.4.2.2, the Checkbox option is available, but in the clean install of 5.5.1, the option for a Checkbox does not exist.
