Please help us!

Last year we were pleasantly surprised to be mentioned as one of two systems to watch and the fastest growing community in the 2010 open source market share report.

This year the data gathering notice email got buried, and we're way behind. This is bad news.
Only you can help.

I know surveys are a complete drag, but it would really mean a lot to me and the community if we continued to be accurately represented in this report for 2011.

If you feel like concrete5 has saved you any time at all, please help us by giving just a few minutes back and filling out this survey. Tell your friends, tweet your link, stick it on your G+facebook-umbler thingie. This has got to be one of the easiest things you could ever do to give back to the community, so please help us all continue to grow!

Me too.

"Yes I'll have a chat with... sales and ...the marketing department about that new idea, and I'll then get ... accounts to invoice you straight after the ...server guys have finished installing your site."

Or when I get a cold call asking for the CEO or Head of Sales... why yes, I happen to be manning the phones today!

Edit - oh, and I got one of my ...tech researchers to complete that survey, giving C5 pretty glowing colours. I also got ...the PR department to retweet the survey link.

I too hope this goes right, since this C5 by far is the easiest CMS I have worked with.

Oh, and I did my part on the survey as well as I think everyone should to support C5.

I'm new to C5 (and content management, in general). LOVE the product. Think the community is one of the best I've ever experienced. Just completed the survey giving glowing reviews!

And @mesuva... I know that feeling! I had the VP of Technology complete the survey. He was really hands-on with the selection process. LOL!

Took the survey, they didn't have numbers that I liked on some of the questions. Like time to deploy a site was in months, I would say a week or two to deploy most sites I make. Also the lowest amount you could say to spend on a site was 3000 or less, I'd say I spent a few hundred on my own site. Or maybe I should count the hours spent on it as work? :)

I agree that the numbers weren't truly reflective of how easy and quickly you can develop a robust site with C5. So far, I've created over 50 sites - by myself - and it's taken me less than three months to do so.

Took the survey. Gave c5 some high praise; it's a great/easy-to-understand and work with CMS.

A friend wants me to learn WP. I just tell him, "No thanks, I'll stick with what I've got."

Keep up the great work, c5 team.

I came back to this thread to post about the report, Steev had already posted the details. So here are my extracted highlights:

Introduction: "Concrete5 had an exceptional year and remains a system to watch."

On page 36, C5 has the best brand reputation.
On page 38, C5 has the lowest abandonment rate.
On page 39, C5 scores top in product preference.

In the Summary: "Concrete5 had the best 12 month period of any CMS in this survey"

Now a question. Page 21 says C5 has 2 books in print. I am wondering what the second book is?

If you participated in the survey, you will have been sent an email with a pre-release download link. As the link sent to me contains 'me specific' info, I cant post it here.

There is a link to last years survey on the survey web site,http://www.waterandstone.com/book/2011-open-source-cms-market-share... so maybe the current survey will be posted there in due course.

By any measure, a PHENOMENAL REPORT! C5 is poised to become THE CMS that killed the Big 3!! So happy to be one of the early adopters. My friends spout on and on about Drupal and Wordpress, but they simply don't measure up. Congrats!

Ahh found it thank you, it was in my spam folder.

Turns out with gmail you have to choose the spam box to search within it otherwise it will ignore it and just search your inbox, thus my previous searches where unsuccessful.

For anyone else looking for the email it comes from support@waterandstone.com
