Problems with Apple devices and ecommerce

Hi guys,

A number of customers are reporting problems of not been able to complete the check out process on ecommerce if there using a APPLE device!!

Any suggestions? as im loosing sales

In this case I'm pretty sure it would be the theme (or maybe another add-on) you've got in use causing some sort of error or conflict on iPad/iPhones - more strictly speaking Safari on iOS.

I use eCommerce a lot and can confidently say that it itself doesn't have any code in play that should cause such issues - the sites we've rolled out successfully place orders on iOS.

The important thing here to specifically work out what actual part of the checkout is causing issues: is the final payment screen, the entry of billing details, actually getting to the checkout, etc. You can then have a look for things like Javascript errors using a desktop browser like Chrome.

If you post a link to your site someone might be able to spot the issue. If you are using a specific theme, it might be a case of getting in contact with the theme develop to see if they know anything about it.

The theme im using is slate and the problem seems to be that the phone number field entry is missing on the billing page which is a required field to place a order

very very frustrating

I will try and contact the person behind slate

If you PM me a link to the site I'm happy to have a glance to see what is happening.

We don't use theme's from the marketplace for our projects, so I can't really suggest any, sorry.

From what I've seen, Slate seems to be really solid theme though, it just might not be intended for use with eCommerce.
