Site Permission Changed itself to registered member only OMG!!

I opened my site two weeks ago from admin only to public,
I have worked on it regularly adding new products and changes. I have noticed that there has been a great deal of traffic (page views) and zero purchases made in these two weeks. I don't visit the permissions site wide page often but I did today and to my surprise it was set to member only, which I might add I have never used this setting because its not a member only site its a eCommerce site with member ability, when I launched it I changed from admin to public. I have been in the site wide since and it was on public so I can confirm it was set correctly. In conclusion I'm not sure if this was a one time bug or a ghost in the machine, for now I will keep'em peeled for this to pop up again.

I'm pretty sure these things don't change themselves.
Perhaps it got clicked by accident. Perhaps something else changed it
for some related reason.

best wishes

I'm certain your right, just unsure of what could have changed it. Only permissions I have changed since launch are individual pages not global. Unless changing/reverting versions of the homepage could do this?

Off subject a little: I have noticed a high amount of data base error's when making changes and switching between website and dashboard, a quick refresh of page seems to clear these up, but its a worrisome amount. Any insight on this matter?
