statistics chart in dashboard

It´s just a side issue but I would be interested to know
there´s this chart in dashboard, showing me daily visits for the past few days and number of visits since my last login.
Does anyone know where this data is coming from? Are the "site visits" counted when I eg edit sites as well? The chart shows about 80 to 150 visits a day, whereas Clicky and google anaytics both show about 5 visits a day. Would like to know where the difference comes from

Also check out the Traffic & Statistics add-on and be aware that if you have a really busy site you should turn that graph off as it can get slow with big numbers.
