Text Link in Content Block > Open Lightbox Gallery from Fileset

Okay, I have been struggling with this for a while, searching for an add-on or even a "dirty" solution to this problem.

"Popup Pro" and "Fancybox Links" go part way to solving this problem, by being able to open one image from the file manager in a lightbox, from a content block text link. "Fancybox Links" even goes so far as to create the possibility of linking multiple images from the file manager.

However, if I need multiple galleries on a page, opening from separate text links in the content block I am stuck - the links are integrated in the text and not on separate lines (otherwise I would just use separate blocks)

I could do something with adding layouts, but my client also wants the content to be in tabs - layouts in tabbed content only works with the "Area Splitter" block, which I am having difficulty styling.

It would be so great to simply be able to add a popup lightbox gallery to a text link in the content block, with the gallery content being pulled from predetermined file sets.

I could even imagine this block so: you add the gallery block anywhere on the page, with the possibility of using file sets. This block would be invisible when not in edit mode. Probably you must create a unique title or class for this gallery.
In the content block, select the text that functions as the link, and link to the gallery. Somehow.
As I am not a programmer, this is as far as my imagination goes...

Probably this is all way more complicated than I imagine, but I thought I would throw it out there...
Anybody have any ideas? Thanks!

Hello Arlenesey

I didn't get exatly what you imagine. But i could solve a lot of similar situations with the PUG addon. You could use this as a block instead of the normal content block. Have a look at it here - there is also a demo link for some more visual explanations.

Hey Arlenesey

I saw, your from Switzerland too ;-)
You can embed Vimeo with html code. Go to a vimeo video - click on the paperairplane - then grab the embed code (starts with <iframe.. ).

You could place this code in a content block by hitting the html-button first or by using the recommende PUG Addon. Also embed here the html snippet: you will get a popup with embeded vimeo video.

Thanks Roland - I really appreciate your assistance. I will attempt to pull it all together with PUG. Learning by doing!

It's so great how this community pulls together and helps one another. I try also to share my little experience when I am scanning the forum.
