My website is super slow to respond for some reason. My host is not having any issues so is there a problem with an update or anything anyone knows of?
The new 5.7 isn't incredibly fast, but on decent hosting it's acceptable. If you've got hosting through any company owned by Endurance International Group (and that includes multiple dozens of companies), I would expect it to be slow.

Your URL or a speed-test to see where the slowness comes from.
There are many reasons why a site gets slow.

@innotix is right and among the things that are not host related that could slow your site down are missing files (404 errors), too many files loading (css and js) and no browser caching set
