Adding a popup with image gallery.

Hi,
We are new to Concrete. We usually build websites in WordPress or code it ourself with Php/html/css.
We just got a request to add a pop-up slider with 5 slides, that will activate on a button.
But honestly I have no clue how and were to add this. I can see that there are some add ons you could add -> some free some paid (Both not a problem). Is this how Concrete is suppose to work.
Some pointers would be great.

Or you could try a marketplace addon. If its not clear an addon does what you need, ask the developer by clicking the 'Get Help' link.
