Advanced Permissions - cannot share sitemap (full) or File Manager

I turned on Advanced permissions and created a new group other than "Administrators". See attachement.

For all pages under the dashboard, I set it to what you see in the image. Users from this group who are not "Administrators" should be able to do most things with the exception of deleting files or changing the site theme. They should definitely be able to view and edit files.

I logged in with a user from this new group and I am unable to do two key things:
1. view or edit the full sitemap
2. view the file manager and upload files

Can anyone provide some feedback as to why this is? Did I miss something?

I believe you need to visit your sitemap and choose 'Options->Show System Pages' and then expand the Dashboard tree and set the permissions for the 'Sitemap' and 'Files' in there.

See, that's what I thought.

I went in and checked those pages... ("Full Sitemap" and "File Manager")...and the settings are as attached.

Sorry, I thought you were setting these permissions elsewhere. I should read more closely. I've been having my own issues with permissions on the +Dashboard +Files and +File Sets that are holding up progress on a site. The new advanced permissions seem to work well everywhere but restricting access to dashboard stuff. There are a couple of bug reports in the Bug Tracker related to this.

Ahhh...got it. Maybe I'll just switch them to Administrator then.

I was just having the same issue, turns out you need to go into System & Settings => Task Permissions and add your group to "Access Sitemap" (make sure to hit save on the final screen). Similarly, in System & Settings, there is a "File Manager Permission" area that you need to add your group to.
