Advanced Permissions in 5.6 allow edit of content but not design & template

Hello,

I know you can set this at individual block level but is there a mass setting anywhere to allowing a group the ability to edit but not have access to design and template options? There seems to be the option to allow editing on a area /page basis but not limit what they can do within editing, until you get to block level.

From what I can tell, I'm having my own issues, but you can set up a user group and then grant/limit their permissions.

1. go to dashboard/system/permissions
2. make sure Advanced Permissions are turned on
3. depending on where your page types pull their permissions from, you can edit the permissions of that page by hovering over Edit and clicking permissions.
4. you can grant or deny the group permissions to any of the permission types in the list. Just click on the permission and either Included or Excluded. Specifically, Excluded will prevent accessing whatever it is you are modifying. If your pages are set to pull their permissions by Area of Site (hierarchy) they will grab the permissions of the parent and so on as far up the chain as you set them. In other words, if you set the home page permissions and every other page type to pull based on Area of Site, they will have the same permissions as the home page.

Hopefully you've figured this out by now but if, I hope this is helpful.
