Blog Archive Dates Tags Not Displaying Correctly

Hello,
When I look for posts in my Blog Archive, no matter what month I click, it simply generates a list of blog posts right up to the current day - is this some fundamental operational error on my part regards tag setup or, is it a coding issue, please? I HOPE, the information I've ATTACHED is relevant - plz let me know if not - any help appreciated - idiot proof format works best with me - thank you.

What is displaying the blog list? Is this using a Marketplace Add-On or something you have written yourself?

It's "just" the standard "off-the-shelf" C5 blog, no add-on etc
The issue, is simply, when I click on the archive tags, I just get a list of everything posted to the blog, no just the blog posts for the specific time period selected. It's been suggested to me, it's likely a coding issue, hence my attaching the code - which I THINK relates to the archive function - just wondering if someone with some knowledge could please tell me, is there some defective piece of code in it?
