Blog Summary Error

I am using the built-in blog and found out how to get a summary to appear on the blog index page, but I am getting a php error when I choose "Blog index" as the custom template that reads:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Controller::getCommentCountString() in /data/26/2/162/89/2651904/user/2910729/htdocs/concrete/blocks/page_list/templates/blog_index.php on line 17

Can anyone give me some direction on how to fix this? It would be much appreciated!

do all the blog posts you are linking to have a comment block on them?

Yes- I tried disabling comments on the blog pages the the global settings but it made no difference. I know the actual comment block still exists on each blog post page. I can try to delete the comment block on each page and see if that cures things, but that kind of leaves me with a half-functioning blog, yes?

I removed the comment block form the blog page defaults which removed it from the blog post pages but it had no change to the error.

To be honest with you, it was early in development of a new site that I was working on. I ended up doing a re-installation because it was that path of least resistance at the time. If you are using a specific template, or recently installed a plugin, I would try a precess of elimination and see if you can't narrow it down.

Sorry I can't be of much more help!
