Building a forum in 5.7

So i was looking at using 5.7 with a client and they want to build a forum.

There are no add-on but i see the conversations and topics are there to be used. Is this the right path to go down? If so i can't find much documentation about there use.

All help kindly received.

Community member pvernaglia has a forum project available on GitHub.

It does not include a license, so I recommending contacting the developer to clarify how the code is to be used.

Thanks I will take a look. It's a shame the old forum package wasn't ported across to to 5.7 but I guess the core team have their hands full working on version 8.
