C5 8.3.2 Calendar how-to's

Hi all,
I have been playing around with the now built-in calendar system in 8.3.2 and it looks fantastic, I was just wondering if anyone has been able to work out how to have the "more detail" page creation work correctly?
Mainly just asking if there are any guides on how to set this up correctly as looking around the forums it seems to be lots of bits and pieces but no specific how-to created yet (not that I've been able to find).
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I got this working for a client.

The event pages are created from the calendar.
I would have to re-visit site to remember what I did.
