Canot create custom addon concrete5.7

I have an working addon which works fine in concrete5.6. I have tried to make it work for 5.7. So i have done some changes as described in

But in admin i am getting error
An unexpected error occurred.
Illegal string offset 'class'
Need to solve this. Please help.

Really it would be much easier to help with some code to look at. The realm of possibilities is just too vast.
