can't access the dashboard

I have a client that had a really old version of C5. I was upgrading then from 5.3.3.1 to 5.4.2.2 in hopes to eventually get them up to speed. I have them upgraded, the site works fine, Some permissions are off and when I logged in as admin, click on the Dashboard, I get the log in screen again. I can't get to the Dashboard.
