Can't download marketplace Add-Ons anymore

Permalink 1 user found helpful
I am running Concrete5 v5.6.3.2 on a Blue Host shared server. Everything has been working great for months. I have added a number of free and paid Add-Ons and Themes through the Marketplace.

However, since Jan 24, 2015, I have been unable to connect to the Marketplace to download my purchased Add-Ons.

At first, I assumed I might have some problems on my site. So I cleared the cache, re-logged in and still get the following message:
------------------------------
Your site is not connected to the concrete5 community.

Error establishing connection to the concrete5 community. Please check that curl and other required libraries are enabled.

Connect to Community [BUTTON]
-------------------------------
When I click the button, "Connect to Community", there is no error and I get the following message: "Your site is already connected to the Concrete5 community."

Assuming there might be something going on with my site or host, I tried the same thing on my Concrete5 version 5.7 site hosted by Arvixie. I wind up with the same error there.

So this leads me to believe that if this problem is happening with two different versions on two different hosts, the problem is NOT at my end. I have installed Themes and Add-Ons on both of these sites in the past with NO issues. Nothing has fundamentally changed since.

Is there maintenance or something going on with the Marketplace server that is preventing me from connecting?

Is anyone else having this problem?

Yes I am having same problem. It says I am connected to site when but in the update it gives me this "Error establishing connection to the concrete5 community. Please check that curl and other required libraries are enabled."

Which is it? Am I connected or not. :-) Not much documentation on it either, other than deleting rows from config which I am not too comfortable doing.

Hi,

I am having exactly the same pb :
When I want to add a module/theme, I am said that my site is not connected to the Concrete5 communauty. And when I click on the button "Connect", I am said that my site is already connected.

I am sure that curl is correctly activated, and I tried to modify the rows in the table "config", in order to force C5 to consider my site is not connected, with no result up to now.

Thanks for your help !

Yes I am having exactly the same problem too with one site. I've built loads of sites with Concrete5 and this is the first time this has happened. I was able to associate an add-on to the project through my projects page, so I know I am connected to the marketplace, but I can't install it as it says I'm not. Any help will be gratefully received!

Hello,

I just made that test : the same problem with IE, Firefox, Chrome.
I have several sites, using C5 5.5.2.1.
On one of these, it does work, on the other, it does not !!!!

At least, I am not alone, but I am really concerned by this problem.

Any ideas ???

Thx,

Olivier
