Changing Colors with page type layouts

I have my work website which is quite large.
It has 3 different distinct divisions so I have color coded a separate stylesheet for each division.
I also have 4 different layouts single page, 1 col, 2 col and 3 col.
Insted of making 12 page types, blue 1 col, green 1 col, purple 1 col and so on I want to make just 4 page types (different layouts) and then attach my colored stylesheet to the body tag body id="blue".
How can I do this? thanks
