Content-Block and Lightbox for images?

Hey,

has somebody a solution for lightbox-actions in a standard content block? The goal is to simply insert the photo with the help of the normal tinymce WYSIWYG and than automatically create a lightbox link to the full size version of the photo?

I know this is achievable with extra lightbox blocks, but thats not inside a text (left alignment) or something.

I plan to use it inside of ProNews, but a general solution would also help me.

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Matthias

Okay maybe anyone still reads this. After further investigation there are this possibilities:

1) The manual way:
http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/usage/how-can-i-open-an-i... (marked as best reply)

Workflow would be that the User inserts an image via Toolbar (Add Image), then clicks to edit the image in tinymce and copies the image link (and adjust size). Then adds a link to this image which is pointing to the image file and adds a rel value like "lightbox".

I would really like it if that would be a button in the c5 toolbar above the tinymce which says "Add Thumb/Add Lightbox image" where you can automatically insert the image with link and rel-value (global setting?) to the tinymce. What does the community/c5 team think about it?

2) Alternative Approach:
Pop Up Pro has the option that you can choose the alignment float:left, so that the thumbnail/small image floats with a normal content block.

This is also a nice possibility but does not help if you want to use it in pro news where you only have a content-block. (I could tell my customer that there is only the possibility to add one image to a news and then align it left or right, but this would make adding multiple images impossible which is required.

So it would be nice to have feedback regarding solution 1. I don't know if it's possible to pack this into an add-on?

I was just looking for the same and searched about it, that's why I was redirected here.

It could be done manually, but C5 does some nifty things with "caching" images.
It would be nice when something like this would be implemented by C5 in TinyMCE. If it only could be the possibility to add a link to an image (just like link to a page).

+1 I'm resurrecting a semi old topic here, but indeed lightbox as a button in tinymce would be great. :)

Resurrection again ...

I can't believe it, but there is (apperently) still no simple (!) solution to set a link to an image in the content block's editor via the file manager. It is the same old story again: Grabbing the image url from the filemanager's image properties, copy/paste etc... annoying.

I have not been using c5 for a while and I am not a c5 poweruser, but I miss this feature. Would make things very, very easier for me and my clients. :-)
