Core Commerce - Want to add only one product from a Registry into my cart

Has anyone dealt with the Registry section of the Core Commerce add-on?
As it is, you can only add the whole registry to your cart to buy and then the registry is emptied. What I want is to add only one product from the registry to my cart and then not have it removed from the registry, but just have the qty reduced in the registry.
Anyone do anything like this yet or have any suggestion on a way to implement this?
