Custom Block for Client

Permalink 1 user found helpful
Hey all, I don't know if I'm stepping out of my skill zone here or not, but I basically require this functionality:

1) I'm working on a projects page for a client, and want the client to be able to add projects at later dates, but I want each project to be formatted in a certain way to keep it consistent.

2) I have attached an image of how I want it to be, but in a nutshell, to get this layout, I would like the client to be able to add a block which asks them to pick a file from file manager for the thumbnail (and keeps it to thumbnail size) then asks them to pick a PDF file to link for download, with some fields to fill in the info and values etc of the project.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for tutorials or words of wisdom for this?

Cheers!

You could use Composer to add and edit pages and a couple image/file page attributes to select the thumbnail and pdf. Then do a listing with a Pagelist. Wouldn't need a custom block for it.

I'd see if Jordan Lev's designer content would work with this first.

If not i have something else that would definitely work, still working on it though :(.

What Scott said: Designer Content could do this real easy. Take about 30 min with the css.
